Connect the South

One southern region, connected daily

Reliable connectivity between Addu, Fuvahmulah, and Huvadhoo is fundamental to creating an integrated southern economic region. Daily passenger services will improve access to healthcare, education, and employment for residents, while enabling visitors to travel between the Southern Atolls as a single tourism destination. Daily freight services will ensure the timely movement of medical supplies, laboratory samples, fresh food, fisheries products, e-commerce parcels, and essential goods, while supporting emergency response during disruptions. This target will be delivered through complementary investments to enhance Gan International Airport with new international routes and sustained regional air services, establish drone cargo corridors for time-critical deliveries, and develop a strategic gateway port.
